| Replacement of magnetic powder |
|
A/ Take away the screws from the flange from the opposite side to outputs of the coil
B/ Overturn the brake and place it at the outside of the flange on two thicknesses of 50 mm.
C/ Press on the rotor with the equalizer or beat with a mallet so that you extract the rotor with the flange (you must use a fixture in aluminium)
D/ Take away the flange from the rotor.
E/ Take away the residual powder from the flange, from the notch of the brake and from the rotor avoiding to oil the sides. It is very useful to degrease the notch of the brake, the inside of the flange and the rotor with a rag with alcool.
F/ Overturn again the brake and place it on the thicknesses (like before) avoiding to waste the outputs in the coil.
G/ Pour out half of magnetic powder in the inside of the notch of the brake, more near than possible to the wall and uniformly distributed on the whole turn.
H/ Degrease and clear the rotor and insert it pressing it with an equalizer or beat with a mallet on a block of aluminium in order to do not waste the bore of the rotor.
I/ Pour out the residual magnetic powder in the rotor between the gap and the inclined plane, uniformly distributed on the whole turn.
L/ Assemble the flange on the rotor pressing (in a first time) on the bearing and (in a second time) on the flange when this reaches the iron. Keep the bores centred.
M/ Lock the flange with the screws. |
